This book begins a second series, following the Beautiful Creatures tetralogy. I had thoroughly enjoyed the first tetralogy, but as part of its charm was its setting in a small Southern, very conservative town, I wondered whether this new novel, set in New York City could possibly be as appealing. I need not have been concerned. I love the originality of the fantasy elements, the setting is skillfully drawn, and the characters are both appealing and enigmatic. I’m looking forward to reading the remaining novels in this series.

Oh, to be back in the lives of Rid and Link again. I loved seeing them in a new setting, surrounded by new and interesting people. The peeks into Rid's childhood exposed me to another side of her and gave her character more dimension. I cannot lie, I sort of liked Nox, a lot, by the end of the book. HOWEVER, the end was cruel. I cannot wait for the next book.On a side note, this series has taken on a new meaning from me after having the opportunity to attend a release event with the authors. These are some amazing women, with so much passion and depth. I love them. I want to be their friend and I think they should have a talk show.

I really enjoyed this continuation of the Ridley and Link on and off romance. This has been a long awaited book. All the "Beautiful Creatures" books have been no less than the five star READ I've come to expect from this generic pair of authors. I would urge anyone to read ALL the books in this series. They're incredible!

I know, duh, right? Obviously, it is the Dangerous series. It stars Ridley and Link, and frankly, I don't find them nearly as interesting,and frankly they definitely are not that smart.

Beware of cliff hanger.I had extremely high hopes for this book because I loved the "beautiful creatures" series, but this book didn't live up. You get a story filled with link and Ridley along with several other characters you haven't met in the past books, but all the other characters that you loved from beautiful creatures are virtually nonexistent in this book.I'm torn between just giving up on this series or trying the second book to see what happens.

I was a huge fan of the Beautiful Creatures series, and couldn't wait to read the spin off of Ridley Duchannes. Her character really caught my eye, you could tell she was the bad girl who really just wanted to be good. But just could't find the way. Ridley is written in a way that she is a character that you hate to love her and vice versa. I hope there is more about Miss Ridley Duchannes!!

I definitely have an affinity to audiobooks. The narrator is wonderful. She brings the story alive. I also helps that I am a fan of the Beautfiul Creatures Series. For you enjoy fantasy and the eternal battle of good vs. evil but this audiobook and the entire series for that matter. I listened to it will on the treadmill and it helped me forget I was working out.

Joe Meek’s Bold Techniques updates the 2001 print edition, and features a new Introduction, an additional chapter, and a newly restored and remastered version of Meek’s legendary 1959 stereo album about life on the Moon, I Hear a New World.

Joe Meek was an iconoclastic British recording innovator who was also, among other things, a paranoid schizophrenic homosexual speed freak who believed he was in psychic communication with Buddy Holly and who murdered his landlady with a shotgun before shooting himself in 1967.

Cleveland, however, takes an industry perspective, focusing primarily on Meek’s 12-year professional recording career, rather than his personal life.

Joe Meek’s best-known recording, “Telstar,” topped the charts worldwide in 1962, and he engineered and produced dozens of U.K. hits. The extensive roster of fine musicians that graced Meek’s recordings includes guitarists Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Howe, and Jimmy Page (Page credits Meek as having been a major influence on his own production).

Joe Meek was also responsible for many recording “firsts,” at least in the U.K. For example, he was
